Unsere Elftklässler in Cambridge/ Großbritanien

Bevor jeder Schüler für ein zehnwöchiges Sprach- und Sozialpraktikum in seine Organisationen und Praktikumsbereiche reist, sind die Jugendlichen gemeinsam nach Cambridge gereist, um die dortige Waldorfschule mit ihren handwerklichen Fähigkeiten zu unterstützen. Wie der unten gedruckte Artikel zeigt, kommen diese sehr gut an. Dank Christiane Böttcher, die den Kontakt zu der Schule aufgebaut und vorort als pädagogischer und handwerklicher Profi die Schüler unterstützt, kann sich vielleicht eine schöne Verbindung nach England aufbauen.

Hier ein Auszug aus der dortigen Schulpost:

"The nine Erfurt students and their two carpenter teachers have arrived and have been working in school all week! They have brought energy, enthusiasm and remarkable carpentry skills. All of these 17/18 year olds have already made proper furniture in the past in Erfurt Waldorf School. They are now transforming the central lobby between classes 3 and 4/5, building proper coat and shoe rack; painting the area, boxing in the pipe work etc. They are making tools for our green wood workshop and even working on a 4 foot log sculpture! Every day they eat with class 6/7 and have been seen playing volley ball together. Class 3 has been sanding pieces for the lobby and we hope that they will have a little introduction to carpentry with Christiane next week. A big thank you to our generous host families who have made the students so welcome. We have a treasure in this group of young people; they are a fine example for our children."
